I am JUMPING FOR JOY!!!! 🤗
“Joyful No Matter What” to me is more than a motto. It’s my testimony! ❤️🔥
February 25th, 2007 is a monumental day for me and my family! It was the day in 2007 that forever changed the trajectory of my life.
TODAY is a day I celebrate!! 🎉
After over a dozen surgeries and years of struggles, it was 17 years ago today that I was prayed for and the Lord radically healed my dying body. My liver had shut down, kidneys were failing, everything was looking like it was the end of my time on earth.... but GOD, my God - Jesus, my Healer - had a different plan!
I had completely surrendered to whatever it was that He wanted - if it was death, I knew I would be with Him. If He allowed me to live, I knew it was for a purpose.
What was that purpose? I started digging frantically into God’s Word and praying, asking for His truth to be revealed. As I prayed “What is my purpose, God?” He clearly and concisely spoke these words in my mind "I have given you life so you can speak LIFE into others and fan the flame of potential in others."
Then I read this passage of scripture in 2 Timothy 1:5-14. Verses 6 and 8 jumped right off of the page and into my heart! What I heard God say to me in my head was right there, written in the Bible!! It said, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you .... Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord.”
WOW! 🤯
The Bible suddenly came so alive to me. I couldn’t get enough because it became REAL. As I read more and more, I was overwhelmed by the truth of scripture.
This is another one of the many AMAZING promises that I cling to from God’s Word in Genesis 50:20-21 —
“ ‘You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. No, don't be afraid. I will continue to take care of you and your children.’ So he reassured them by speaking kindly to them.”
From that day on, completely surrendered to His will and no longer afraid, I vowed to be willing and available to be used whenever, however and wherever the Lord wanted me to encourage others. All I could think about was sharing with others, boldly and unashamed, declaring what the Lord did for me!
My LIFE has never been the same. Life isn’t always easy but I am here to testify that NO MATTER WHAT, God is in control, I am surrendered to that, and I will live each day according to His will, even when the going gets so tough I don’t know how to go on. He sustains me.
“...because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.”
2 Timothy 1:12
TODAY I celebrate LIFE!! ✨
I don’t know what tomorrow holds but I am so thankful for my TODAY! I will choose to be Joyful No Matter What.
“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalms 118:24
