The Little Country Church That Grew Me Up

Unionvale is the little country church that grew me up.

My greatest childhood memories were here. It’s the place where life was celebrated. I sang, played the piano, sewed, quilted, played volleyball in the gym with my friends, had potlucks, Christmas programs, and celebrated many birthdays, graduations, and other life events. Still, most of all, I learned about Jesus here. My trust and confidence in Jesus was established in Unionvale.

Here I am pictured in front of the church on Easter Sunday.

There’s been some changes since then, but the message is still the same solid Truth. I am so grateful for the foundation of God’s Word, the Bible, that was spoken into me by His people here.

My Great-Grandparents, Grandparents, Dad, Uncle, Brother, and Sunday School teachers who were there back then have all changed their addresses to Heaven now. Still, one day we’ll be together once again, singing old hymns, reciting verses, and praising God together.

"When we all get to Heaven What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We’ll Sing and Shout the Victory!

I really look forward to that day!!"
