I am deeply moved this morning by the TRUTH and warnings in God’s Word!!
⚠️ We need to stop being gullible.
🛑 STOP letting yourself get drawn into sin.
Let’s call it like it is!! If something doesn’t line up with God’s word, it’s SIN!
So aptly put by a wise friend of mine: “You can surround yourself with ideas and philosophies that affirm any lie you choose to believe in. Things that are made know that there is a Creator. No one has to tell you that what you do is contrary to God. You just know it. No matter how much the culture affirms, builds up, or commends, it's not ok with God, and it will never be.”
Isaiah 5:18-23 "Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, who draw sin as with cart ropes, who say: “Let him be quick, let him speed his work that we may see it; let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near, and let it come, that we may know it!” WOE TO THOSE WHO CALL EVIL GOOD AND GOOD EVIL, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight! Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing strong drink, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, and deprive the innocent of his right!"
I am seeing so many things in the world that have become cultural norms. ⚠️ LISTEN!! No matter what the world embraces, God and His truth will ALWAYS be the standard. Anything else is rubbish and will lead us astray. Be sure to line up your thinking, your words, and your actions with what God says. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Him… JESUS!!
There is great truth in Isaiah 5:14 that we need to be aware of lest we be swallowed up in darkness that we cannot even see the light! Sheol (the place of darkness which lies after death) has enlarged its appetite.
⚠️ Don’t allow yourself to be swallowed up!!
And don’t be confused by God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. They are three in one. All in all. And we need ALL of who God is! Why? —-
The Holy Spirit guides us to Truth…. Jesus.
John 16:13 "When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come."
Jesus guides us to God. John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
You don’t have to stumble around unknowingly. Don’t be dumbed down by the weight of the world. Navigate well! Let the Holy Spirit be your guide, your conscience.
1 John 4:1-6 "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error."
I urge you - ⛔️ Stop idolizing SIN!!!!!!
1. Give God your heart (Get yourself in the right place - start with praying and simply confessing that you need and want Jesus to become your personal Savior and clean you up!)
2. Embrace Truth (Jesus)
3. Receive God’s protection
4. Gain understanding (read the Bible and pray!)
5. Apply that understanding to your life!
1 John 5:18-21 "We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols."
I know I just dumped a whole lot out here, but I feel it’s necessary. True love looks like telling people the truth. I’m throwing you a lifeline! Grab on!!
I am backed up by the Word of God, and I am not ashamed to tell it like it is!
Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile."
RAISE UP A STANDARD - stop being a fake, phony hypocrite who doesn’t line up with God’s Truth found in the Bible!! STOP leading people astray by tickling their ears with “feel good” nonsense that draws them into darkness, hope, and despair!
2 Timothy 4:3 "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."
BUCK UP, people!!!!
With God’s help, stand up firmly against anything that is not Truth and doesn’t line up!
⚠️ You don’t have to flounder out there alone. Embrace the POWER of GOD!!!
2 Timothy 3:5-7 "…having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth."
Ephesians 1:15-23 "For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His great might that He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."
